This Privacy Policy explains what data THE DINO DEN LTD (Company No. 16970676), registered in England, 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE ("The Dino Den", "we", "us") collects when you use our website and game servers, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

1. Data We Collect

Account data (via Steam sign-in): your SteamID64, Steam persona name, avatar and profile URL. We never see your Steam password.

Optional connections: if you link them, your Discord account (ID, username, display name, avatar) and Patreon membership (membership tier and status). We do not receive payment details; payments are processed entirely by Patreon.

Technical data: IP address and browser user agent, collected when you sign in and when staff actions are logged, used for session security and abuse prevention.

Gameplay data from our game servers: your in-game character, position, vitals, growth, playtime, spawns, deaths and kills, linked to your SteamID. This powers features like playtime rewards, leaderboards, quests and the live map. Note that gameplay on our servers is visible to other players.

Platform activity: chat messages, virtual currency transactions, game and marketplace history, quest progress, notifications, and content you submit (e.g. profile customisation).

Moderation records: warnings, mutes, strikes (including uploaded evidence such as screenshots), bans, and an audit log of staff actions concerning your account.

2. Cookies & Sessions

We use essential cookies and session tokens to keep you signed in and to secure your account. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Why We Process Your Data

• to provide and operate the service (account, inventory, games, marketplace, leaderboards), as performance of our contract with you;
• to moderate the community, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, based on our legitimate interests;
• to secure accounts and infrastructure, based on our legitimate interests;
• to grant Patreon-linked perks, as performance of our contract with you.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with: (a) the connected platforms you choose to link (Steam, Discord, Patreon) to operate those integrations; (b) hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers; and (c) authorities where we are legally required to do so. Some content, such as your username, avatar, level, leaderboard placement and in-game activity, is visible to other users as part of the service.

5. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Moderation records (strikes, bans, evidence and audit logs) are kept for as long as needed to enforce our rules, including after strikes expire, to recognise repeat or returning offenders. Backups are rotated on a regular schedule.

6. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To exercise your rights, contact us via Discord or in writing at the address above. Note that we may retain moderation records where we have an overriding legitimate interest in enforcing our rules.

7. Minors

The service is intended for adults and not directed at anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the website.
