Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, services and game servers operated by THE DINO DEN LTD (Company No. 16970676), registered in England ("The Dino Den", "we", "us"). By creating an account, connecting your Steam account, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. Accounts are created by signing in through Steam. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Steam, Discord and other connected accounts secure. You may not share, sell, trade or transfer your account, and you may not use multiple accounts to gain an advantage or evade moderation actions.

2. Virtual Items & Currencies

All currencies, items, dinosaurs, skins, decorations, crates, bundles, perks and any other content on the platform (collectively "Virtual Items") are entirely virtual. Virtual Items:

• have no monetary or real-world value and are not redeemable for money, goods or anything of value outside the service;
• are licensed to you for use within the service, not sold: you receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence and no ownership of any kind;
• may be modified, rebalanced, converted, suspended or removed by us at any time, for any reason, without notice or compensation;
• may not be bought, sold, traded or exchanged outside the service (real-money trading is strictly prohibited).

Games on the platform (including crates, coinflip, crash, mines, blackjack, roll and similar) are played exclusively with virtual currency, are provided for entertainment only and are not gambling for money or anything of monetary value. A voluntary self-exclusion option is available in your profile settings.

3. Patreon & Support

Optional Patreon memberships support the community and its servers. Any perks granted in return are Virtual Items as described above. Payments are processed by Patreon under Patreon's own terms; memberships are not purchases of Virtual Items, and Virtual Items received through a membership carry no monetary value and are subject to these Terms, including our right to modify or remove them.

4. Code of Conduct

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorised software, automation or scripts, or otherwise gain unfair advantages on the website or our game servers;
• harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against other users or staff;
• post or upload unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content;
• abuse, attack, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure;
• circumvent bans, mutes, strikes or any other moderation measure, including by using alternate accounts;
• engage in real-money trading of accounts or Virtual Items.

5. Moderation & Enforcement

We may issue warnings, mutes and strikes, remove content, remove Virtual Items, restrict features (including marketplace access), kick you from game servers, and suspend or terminate your account and access to our game servers at any time, with or without reason, and without prior notice or compensation. Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final. Enforcement may extend across the website, our game servers, and connected community spaces such as our Discord.

6. User Content

By submitting content (including chat messages, names, profile content and uploads) you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, store, reproduce, display and use that content for operating, moderating and promoting the service. You are responsible for the content you submit. We may remove any content at any time.

7. Ownership

The service, including its design, code, branding, Virtual Items and all related content, is owned by or licensed to The Dino Den and protected by applicable law. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us. The Isle is a product of Afterthought LLC; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Afterthought LLC, and all related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. Availability & Changes to the Service

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, reset (including server wipes), or discontinue the service or any part of it at any time without notice or liability. We do not guarantee uptime, data persistence, or the continued availability of any feature or Virtual Item.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Dino Den, its directors, staff and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or Virtual Items, arising from or relating to your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
